The Ohio Department of Insurance’s Office of Consumer Affairs saved or recovered $5,613,571 for Ohioans, received 20,098 inquires, and handled 6,047 complaints. The top complaint reasons were for claim denial and claim delay while the coverage types most complained about were health insurance and automobile insurance. Consumer Services provides free information and services related to all types of insurance, through its website, toll-free hotlines, community outreach, and counseling.
