Chris Brock

Chris Brock was named Deputy Chief of Staff for the Ohio Department of Insurance in August 2021. He is responsible for several special projects, including those related to finance, while also overseeing the agency's legislative and communications efforts. After returning to the department in September 2016, Brock served as Director of Stakeholder and Media Engagement where he managed outreach activities, served as spokesman, and advised on communications and messaging. In April 2017, he was promoted to Assistant Director of Public Affairs.
 
Prior to returning to the department, Brock served for nearly two years as Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor’s Chief of Staff. He also previously handled Communications Director duties for Lieutenant Governor Taylor. Before joining the department in April 2011 and becoming the agency’s Communications Director, Brock was the Manager of Grassroots Advocacy at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. 
 
Brock graduated from the Ohio State University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in political science.
