Chris Brock was named Assistant Director of Public Affairs for the Ohio Department of Insurance in April 2017. Brock is responsible for the Department’s Legislative and Communications efforts while also overseeing stakeholder engagement for the agency. After returning to Department in September 2016, he served as Director of Stakeholder and Media Engagement where he managed outreach activities, served as spokesman and advised on the agency’s communications and messaging as a senior team member.
Prior to returning to the Department, Brock served for nearly two years as Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor’s Chief of Staff. He also previously handled Communications Director duties for Lieutenant Governor Taylor. Before joining the Department in April 2011 and becoming the agency’s Communications Director, Brock was the Manager of Grassroots Advocacy at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. He graduated from the Ohio State University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.
